19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid season, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with former coach his previous coach.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the past month - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first trophy following the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my children simultaneously, so to secure a championship is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This championship is in tribute of my child her name, because the first title I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
His counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved service.
He fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, taking four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial professional title, gained dominance to create a final set.
The opponent saved four initial chances in a close third set before the champion secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
